What is Webcasting?
The webcast is an event that is broadcast over the internet. The basic purpose of a webcast is to bring an event those who cannot attend in person.

At our July 2010 meeting Alex Karas from Voila Cinematic (www.voilacinematic.com) gave a great workshop: "How to make your DSLR Come to Life."
Alex shared some of his films and discussed the pros and cons of DSLR Wedding Filmmaking. He shared with the group how he uses various Canon lenses, sliders and fluid use of Steadicam to his advantage to... achieve his highly acclaimed look. Thanks to Canon for sending a variety of lenses for Alex to demonstrate and discuss!
Members also toured Rhino Film Studios, a full production studio that is available for rental.Check out their green screen, cyc wall, sound studio, and equipment such as steadicam, dolly, kinos, and much more.
At our June Meeting Roy Chapman, Founder and President of WEVA gave an informative meeting about the "Future of Professional Wedding & Event Video." Roy shared many new tips and insights for staying current and moving your video production company forward! It was a fantastic meeting and and attendees learned a lot! Thanks to Roy for sharing and inspiring members and guests! Roy also gave away a WEVA membership and a Pass to the WEVA 2010 Expo!
At our last meeting Ken Burke from VideoDine, LLC offered helpful ideas and tricks to video professionals interested in growing their business
At our February meeting, Jose Ortiz from JJvideoFilm demonstrated different sliders, invited attendees to try them out and shared footage he shot utilizing the sliders.
In January, Miroslav Beck from Bayfront Productions shared a presentation on 9 Recession Rescue Strategies followed by a group discussion about "what's working" today.
Our December meeting was held at the VHVIDEO.COM studio. Bryan Coward from Tampa Wonderworks and Jose Ortiz from JJvideoFilm gave a presentation about the amazing capabilities of DSLRs and shared some of their videos shot with the new technology.
At our October/November meeting, members and guests screened the film "The Wedding Video" and shared their thoughts about the film. It was a fun evening! See some video from the meeting here!
At our September meeting group members met and discussed the exciting things learned during WEVA 2009 Expo! In addition, VHVideo.com's Maureen Taylor talked to members about her exciting seminar, where she was a presenter, at WEVA 2009.
In August, group members attended the INFOCUS one-day seminar featuring International industry superstars Patrick Moreau, Konrad Czystowski
(StillMotion) and Kevin Shahinian (Pacific Pictures). The seminar was packed with great information and ideas!
Atthe July meetingBryanCoward from Tampa Wonderworks Film and Video shared a sample of hiswork that he created using aSuper 8mm film camera. Bryan discussed, "In this high-definition world,with all our technological advances, it's fun and exciting to be able
to offer and work with film." The group also reviewed members' Brent Dunn and Ryan Naughtin's new cameras. TBAPVA members also discussed plans for the rest of the year, increasing membership, and inviting leaders in our field to holdseminars.
At the May meeting we continued our Tour of Studios by visiting Burgess Photography & Videography, 109 N Armenia Ave., Tampa, FL33609. David shared some insight into the world of photography and we learned a few tips on incorporating those with our videos!
We had a great meeting in April at Bayfront Productions studio in Wesley Chapel where everyone in attendance learned (and got to play with) Bayfront Productions amazing green screen!
